About song

Crucify Your Mind is a song by an American singer-songwriter Rodriguez from his debut album Cold Fact. The album sold very poorly in the US, but did good in Australia and South Africa.

Lyrics

Was it a huntsman or a player
That made you pay the cost
That now assumes relaxed positions
And prostitutes your loss?
Were you tortured by your own thirst
In those pleasures that you seek
That made you Tom the curious
That makes you James the weak?
And you claim you got something going
Something you call unique
But I’ve seen your self-pity showing
As the tears rolled down your cheeks
Soon you know I’ll leave you
And I’ll never look behind
‘Cos I was born for the purpose
That crucifies your mind
So con, convince your mirror
As you’ve always done before
Giving substance to shadows
Giving substance ever more
And you assume you got something to offer
Secrets shiny and new
But how much of you is repetition
That you didn’t whisper to him too

Ekainashey Jeewan – I Painted It White

Published

I painted It White is less-known-but-highly-talented band from Nepal, whose vocalist is Prabal Shrestha. The band likes to call itself a “Gospel band,” maybe why they are not that well known in mainstream.

This song, Ekainashey Jeewan, isn’t available in YouTube for unknown reason and available only in Soundcloud, so we brought it here for your ease.

Give a listen. It’s beautiful.

Composition/Vocals: Prabal Shrestha
Guitars/Back Vocals: Steven Tamang
Recording/Mixing/Mastering: Binaya Man Amatya

एकैनासे जीवन – I Painted It White

Topi – Saas

We went to the same school but never met. Years later, I was lucky to meet her in person. We talked for a bit about family, life, her daughter…She needed oxygen tanks to support her breathing then, she was waiting for a double lung transplant. She found a match thanks to a listed organ donor. She was able to spend more time with her loved ones, help others and raise awareness about organ donation. This is her story.

Topi is back after a long hibernation with this new composition, “Saas.”

What the song is about? In the singer’s own words:

We went to the same school but never met. Years later, I was lucky to meet her in person. We talked for a bit about family, life, her daughter…She needed oxygen tanks to support her breathing then, she was waiting for a double lung transplant. She found a match thanks to a listed organ donor. She was able to spend more time with her loved ones, help others and raise awareness about organ donation. This is her story.

What a beautiful gesture and the melody.

A soul soothing treat to music lovers.

Lyrics

Your life is the ocean
And your heart is a wave
Like a dog in the sun
I found my peace in your storm As I sail for days
I keep drowning away
Would my sailors forgive me
For feeling this way You said, “Hey Mister!
Do follow through
Let’s go and build a house
Big enough to fit us two We’ll weave a castle there
The castle of our dreams
My knight in dining armour
And I your blanket queen” Girl, you’re just like that pretty house
With wooden beams, you’re facing south
You are my shelter, you are my little home
Your walls are painted pink and green With a hint of tangerine, I see
A crack in the window
I’m waking up to hold you
Your blemishes, all your tragedies are mine ‘Cause your life is the ocean
And your heart is a wave
Like a dog in the sun
I found my peace in your storm As I sail for days
I keep drowning away
Would my sailors forgive me
For feeling this way As days turn into years
Got more than I deserve
There’s so much left to learn
As I flip through pages As sweet as crème brûlée
These memories we’ve made
Now let me take your hand
And offer a lifetime ‘Cause darling all these years have gone
Just as the tree we sat upon
So afraid to fall, the way we laughed
We made it through My sailors they have come ’round
Their ballads bring a different sound
I guess they all have drowned in love with you
The way I have too ‘Cause your life is the ocean
And your heart the biggest wave
Like a dog in the sun
I found my peace in your storm As I sail for days
I keep on drowning
Drowning away
Would the gods forgive me
For feeling this way
